(NewsDakota.com) After a week off without a game, the Oakes High School volleyball team took their show on the road on Thursday night in Forman against Sargent Central.

The Cadets took an early two games to nothing lead, but the Tornadoes were able to come back to force a fifth game. In the end, it wasn’t enough to propel Oakes to a road win in District 1, as Sargent Central won three games to two.

Oakes head coach Kathy Warren was on KDDR’s The Metko Sports Show on Friday to discuss the past week of practice, the contest from Thursday night, and a preview of the Enderlin/Lisbon Tournament set for Saturday.

Oakes will host two District 1 games next week, welcoming Enderlin on Tuesday and Milnor on Thursday. Coverage of Oakes/Milnor can be heard on KDDR and NewsDakota.com.
