City, N.D. – About 200 people walked in the National Suicide Prevention 5K walk in Valley City on Sunday.

Several high school students and local family members from the Valley City area who have lost a loved one or friend to suicide spoke about the importance of recognizing the signs of suicide and getting help before its to late.

The walkers started in Chautauqua Park and followed 5th avenue south to main, then to Central avenue and back to the park down 12th street in Valley City.
