(NewsDakota.com)- The sweep wasn’t without its tense moments as Jamestown swept Mandan, 3-0, last night. Jamestown found themselves two points from a loss in set two before they rallied back with five straight to win. 

The Jays remain perfect in West Region play won the match; 25-15, 25-23, 25-15. Jamestown used six aces to gain control in the first set. Head Coach Sara Hegerle told her team to be aggressive and try to serve for aces.

In the second set, once trailing 23-20, Hegerle took a time out and the Jays come refocused and took the next five points. Josie Hegerle had a pair of aces and a kill to spark the comeback.

Jamestown rolled in the third set.  Addie Eamon again lead the hitting charge with 11 kills.

Next game for the Jays is Saturday when they host Minot at 5pm.
