individuals were injured after the car they were in was involved in a single vehicle accident with a train on Monday afternoon.

Dickey County Sheriff’s deputies say the accident occurred around 4 p.m. Monday along 5th street south. The train made contact with the passenger side of the vehicle.

Two people were taken to the Oakes Community Hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
