N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Authorities are searching for a suspect who managed to elude a large scale manhunt in Eastern North Dakota yesterday.

21-year-old Dylan Klode (KLO-dee) is believed to be driving a red, 2006 Pontiac G-6, with North Dakota plates “J-B-K 1-8-4”.

The car was stolen from a farm west of Portland, North Dakota last night. Traill County deputy Conrad Steinhaus tells KFGO News it appears after Klode slipped through a search perimeter last evening, he made his way to a nearby farm where he stole a riding lawnmower, drove it several miles to the farm where he made off with the car.

Authorities say Klode, along with 22-year old Cory Roper stole a motorhome in Thief River Falls, Minnesota yesterday and led Steele County deputies on a brief chase before they ran into a cornfield near Finley. Roper was captured yesterday afternoon. A predatory sex offender, he was considered dangerous. He had cut off his monitoring bracelet before leaving his Thief River Falls home.
