Valley City woman told the city commission she’s had enough and will no longer remain silent concerning the effort to recall the Mayor and city commissioners.

Jan Klein said, “I’m sick to death of the recall and petitions…she says the accusations don’t make sense to me and it’s like a bunch of bullies trying to take over the school yard.” She said, “those people in the news don’t speak for me, you’ve been doing a good job amidst these ugly uncertainties.”

The Secretary of State’s Office said earlier that two of the city commissioners, George Dutton and Jon Wagar were exempt from the recall being their up for election in a year from now.

Petitioners received approval to circulate a petition to recall Mayor Bob Werkhoven and city commissioner Ken Evenson on June 21.
