N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The number of traffic fatalities in North Dakota is down compared with last year.
In 2012 – 170 people died in traffic crashes. This year, the number so far is 90.
Sergeant Tom Iverson is with the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The stats show the number of alcohol-related fatal crashes is down from 51 percent to 38 percent. And in 28 percent of the fatalities, the victims weren’t wearing seat belts.
So far, McKenzie and Williams Counties have reported the most fatal crashes.
