CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Barnes County took over the operations of the Public Service Answering Point System (PSAP) earlier this month.
Barnes County Emergency Manager and 9-1-1 coordinator Kim Franklin says they’ve been dealing with a few glitches moving the dispatch center from the city law enforcement center into the basement of the courthouse. But she says we hope to have the dispatchers and equipment in place by September.
Earlier this year the Barnes County board of commissioners voted 3 to 2 to take control of the PSAP center from the city and move the center into the courthouse basement.
