Neal Wilhelm, 56, of Edgeley, ND, died August 15, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen, SD.

     Neal Thomas Wilhelm was born on October 6, 1956, in Jamestown, ND, the son of Anton “Tony” and Kathryn (Krumm) Wilhelm. He graduated from Edgeley High School and attended Wahpeton State School of Science. Neal worked for Border States Paving before returning to the family farm near Edgeley where his home has been since. Neal married Brenda Fregien in 1992. He served on the Berlin Elevator board and Willowbank Township board. Neal also worked as an auctioneer and crop adjuster.

     Neal loved the farm and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He had a special love for his family and friends. He and Brenda fostered seven children.

     Neal is survived by his wife, Brenda Wilhelm, Edgeley; son, Justin Hill, Edgeley; brother, Francis Wilhelm; brother, James Wilhelm; brother, Dennis (Janet) Wilhelm; sister, Jane (Clayton) Day; brother, Earl (Barbara) Wilhelm; sister, Deborah (Kenneth) Ness; sister, Carol (Clark) Crary; sister, Doris (Chris) Skrove; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ida and Oscar Hofmann, Medina, ND; and 29 nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Kathryn Wilhelm and father-in-law, Edwin Fregien.

     Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND.

     Interment: Kulm Cemetery, Kulm, ND

     In lieu of flowers: Memorial are preferred to Farm Rescue, 1313 Business Loop East, Jamestown, ND 58401 or the Edgeley Fire Dept., Edgeley, ND.
