N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Stutsman County Memorial Museum Ice Cream Social will be held Sunday, August 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the museum. The museum is located at 321 3rd Ave. South East.

This will be a time to meet old friends, visit the museum and have a root beer float or a dish of ice cream and cake.

To add to the event, David Morlock will play their turn-of-the-century Kimball piano, sing some old favorites and lead a sing-a-long. This will also be an opportunity to view the progress being made on the building of their two-story gazebo on the lot north of the museum.

The front porch chats will not take place on August 18 because of the annual Ice Cream Social, but will resume on August 25 with Bill Kennedy of the James River Valley Library System talking on the history of Alfred Dickey Public Library and present and future plans.
