CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Leading the way in the Wissota-sanctioned street stock racing poles is Ryan Pommerer of Oriska.
After 34 races, Pommerer has dominated the competition finishing in the top-10 all but two times. He also finished in the top 5 in 25 of the races, he has 9 heat wins and an equal amount of feature wins. Where a heat race is normally 10 laps, the feature races require more endurance taking up to twice as long.
Pommerer races the dirt tracks in his 1983 Cutlass that has a 350 cc engine. Keeping the car in shape can be a tricky, racing up to 4 times a week, but his sponsors help him to keep it running. There is still plenty of time for Pommerer to add to his trophy collection as The season continues through October, when the final race is run at Fergus Falls.
