N.D. (AP) – North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has selected six people to a new board that will help promote the state’s wine industry.

The grape and wine advisory committee will decide on grants for research and advertising. A bill in the 2013 Legislature set aside $80,000 to support the industry.

The committee is set up to include two grape producers, two winery owners, a representative of the North Dakota Grape and Wine Association, and a producer of fruit other than grapes for wine making.

The board members are Rodney Hogen of Buffalo, Ken Duppong of Glen Ullin, Mark Vining of Wheatland, Rick Ennen of Menoken, Allan Fuller of Bismarck, and Paul Anderson of Rutland.
