(NewsDakota.com) After the third day of the Section 2 American Legion baseball tournament, just two teams remain. Lisbon earned a spot in the title round, and LaMoure will take on the host team for the championship after advancing in loser-out play on Friday.

In the first of the three games on Friday, Lisbon threw the first large punch of the contest in the fourth inning with four runs off of Chris Heinrich on three hits. LaMoure found the scoreboard in the sixth, but only put across their one run.
Jacob Olson had two hits for Lisbon, while Wyatt Aberle drew a walk in each of his three plate appearances and scored twice. Roddy Gentzkow collected two doubles for LaMoure.
Derek Lyons earned the win for Lisbon allowing six hits and striking out nine. Heinrich took the loss, with five runs on as many hits with eight strikeouts.
Wishek 9 Kidder County 8
Mikey Jacobson and Phillip Wanner combined for four hits and three RBI as Wishek Post 87 beat Steele Post 231. Blake Bosch was the winning pitcher for Wishek going the full seven innings. He had five strikeouts, gave up three walks and eleven hits. Kyle Monroe was the losing pitcher. First basemen Caden Schmidt was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Kidder County.

In the second game for both teams today, LaMoure Post 19 scored five runs in the first and one in the second inning off of Mikey Jacobson, who held them scoreless earlier this year, and advanced to the Championship game tomorrow. Jacobson was 2-for-4 at the plate with two singles, he was the losing pitcher for Wishek.
No. 2 Lisbon and No. 1 LaMoure will play for the Section 2 Championship on Saturday starting at 4 p.m. Should Lisbon be victorious, they will be the champions. However, if LaMoure is able to win the 4 p.m. game, a winner-take-all contest will follow 20 minutes upon the completion of the game.
