N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Home of Economy was announced as the business that would be moving into the old business spot previously vacated by K-Mart.

A job fair was held on Tuesday, July 23rd. Wade Pearson, CEO of Home of Economy, said, “Roughly 60 applicants applied for the open positions in the new store.”

As for project updates, Wade says they’re pretty much on track.

“Getting the floors just right and getting everything in shape there has taken a little longer than anticipated, but aside from that things are coming together real well. We haven’t done a project like this before.” Wade said.

The plan is to finish construction in the new store and then shut the previous store down for a few days to get things together and move all the supplies to their new location.

Another thing that Wade mentioned they were working on was, “Creating a special opening just for the Home of Economy store. We’re working on plans four our own entry into the store. The landlords like the idea, but they’ve got to go through an approval.”

The front garage door will be taken out and created into a specific entry into the Home of Economy store.

Wade says the store is scheduled to be open near the end of August of this year.
