Eveline went quietly home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2013 at the age of 92 at Eventide at Hi-Acres.

     Eveline Marion Telken was born Eveline Marion Miles in Gettysburg, SD on February 14, 1921. She moved with her family to Jamestown in the late 1920’s or early 1930’s. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1939.

     She married Mars S. Jeske on October 10, 1941 and they later divorced. Eveline married Thomas P. Telken on February 24, 1957. She worked and retired from Northwestern Bell. Over the years she also worked for the Fair Store, attorney Clinton Ottmar, owned and operated a Bible book store in Jamestown and Valley City, was a cook at Atlantic Baptist Bible College, Virginia and was the housekeeper for Gene Kelly of Los Angeles for a time. She had been an active member of First Baptist Church, Jamestown and was currently a charter member of Central Baptist Church, Jamestown. She loved to travel and following the death of Thomas Telken, she had lived in California, Oregon, and Virginia for brief periods before returning to Jamestown in the early 1990’s.

     Eveline is survived by one son, Rev. Daniel W. Jeske (Connie) of Jamestown; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Theodore F. Miles and Minnie Triebwasser; step-mother, Emma Triepke; brother, Floyd F. Miles; sister, Wilma Sousa; spouses, Mars S. Jeske and Thomas P. Telken; son, Samuel M. Jeske; grandson, Samuel M. Jeske, Jr.; and nephews, John W. Elliston and Leonard Elliston.

     Graveside Service – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.

     Visitation – 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2013 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.
