Bismarck, N.D…The Blue Jay football team suffered another lop-sided defeat in the capitol city on Friday, as Bismarck Century blasted Jamestown 50-0.

The number three team in the state in class triple “A” football scored at will in the first half, putting up six touchdowns on all six of their possessions. Senior RB Ben Kraft scored on the first play of the game for Century on an 80 yard run, and by the time the first quarter ended, the Patriots had put up four touchdowns, three by Kraft.

The turnover issues continued for the Jays, as Jamestown committed five to bump it’s total to 18 through five games. On the flip side, the Blue Jays have only three take aways this season.

By the time the dust settled, Century had piled up 641 yards of offense, 390 on the ground, and 252 through the air. Jamestown ended up with 188 yards of offense, with Senior QB Brady Anderson throwing for 79 yards on 5 of 17, and his favorite target was Senior TE Nathan Ellingson, with three catches for 70 yards.

The Blue Jays suffered their second consecutive shutout, and slip to 0-5, and 0-3 in WDA play. The Patriots improve to 4-1, and 2-1 in the West Region. Next up for the Jays is homecoming next Friday versus number one ranked Bismarck High at Gates Field.
