N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A fire destroyed a pole barn at a farm northwest of Rogers around 8:20am Tuesday.

Barnes County Sheriff’s Deputy Dan Anderson said when firefighters from the Dazey & Sanborn Fire departments arrived on the scene the pole barn was engulfed in flames.

He said there were six cows and a horse lost in the fire. No other injuries were reported. The contents in a shed, including a tractor were a total loss.

The house garage caught fire from the embers but was quickly extinguished at the Lloyd Triebold farm northwest of Rogers. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
