N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Zoning Ordinance in regards to Crew Camps was unanimously approved by the Stutsman County Board of Commissioners on July 16th.
The ordinance was created and proposed in order to prepare for possible Crew Camps to be built in the county.
County Commissioner Dale Marks says this is a “Document that will cover all bases from what I can see and should be a very good document to go forward with.”
When asked if there was current interest in Crew Camps being constructed in Stutsman County, Marks said that he didn’t believe so.
The ordinance passed will protect the county and surrounding areas from misuse and abuse that the Crew Camp name has recently generated. The Crew Camps near the Bakken area came to mind when Marks was asked.
