(NewsDakota.com)- The 2013 volleyball season for Jamestown High will be filled with expectations as they bring back three of the states best players for their senior seasons. Josie Hegerle, Addie Eamon and McKayla Orr will form the nucleus of a formidable Blue Jay squad this fall.
Both Hegerle and Orr have all-state credentials and Eamon was the biggest snub from last years All-WDA team. They finished sixth at state last year falling to West Fargo in the opener and Shanley in the consolation title game.
They will have to replace All-State middle hitter Siri Jystad, who with Eamon formed arguably the state’s best 1-2 punch in the middle.
Julina Niemeier, Jenna Stilwell, and Meghan Orr will be among the Jays that will contribute to a large amount of floor time.
The season opens August 30th with a trip to Bismarck to play in the East-West crossover tournament. The Jays will welcome Bismarck Century on September 17th, in a rematch of last year’s West Region Championship won by the Patriots.
Jamestown will have the privilege of hosting the WDA Tournament in November.
