(NewsDakota.com)- The Jimmie men’s basketball team continues to finish off their 2013 recruiting class and have just signed a pair of 6′ 6″ forwards to join the squad this fall.
Jacob Havron of Pukalani, Hawaii and Matt Wingo of Princeton, Texas are the newest members of the Jimmies. Havron is a high school graduate while Wingo spent two years at Brookhaven Junior College.
“Matt has one of the highest basketball IQs that I’ve been able to coach,” says Brookhaven coach Kevin Hurst. Hurst also went on to say Wingo lead them in dunks and assists.
These two will compete with DeVonte Smith to fill the spot vacated by Davon Thomas, who last month was ruled ineligible for the 2013-14 season due to his eligibility running out.
The Jimmies will play over 15 home games this season and four opponents from the NSIC.
