(NewsDakota.com)  Yesterday at Jack Brown Stadium, Post 25 played a non-section contest against the Jamestown Blues Post 14, the Jamestown Junior Legion Team.  Carrington won the first game 15-2, Post 14 came back and won the second game 13-6.  Carrington goes to 6-5 overall, Jamestown is 3-5 overall.

Marcus Hewitt went six complete innings in the first game as Carrington won by 10 run rule.  Taylor Skytland was 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI and a stolen base.  Second basemen Brady Smith was 3-for-5  with an RBI.  Right fielder Alex Jarrett was 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBI including a ground rule double.  Jarrett was close to hitting a home run in the top of the sixth inning when he hit a fly ball into the right field vines at Jack Brown Stadium.  In order for it to be called a home run, the ball would have had to go over the vines, so it was ruled a ground rule double.

Second basemen Jesse Saxberg was 2-for-3 for Jamestown, Peyton Walker took the loss.

Next up for Carrington will be today against Section 5 team New Rockford at Carrington City Park, pregame at 5:15pm on KDAK and newsdakota.com.
