(NewsDakota.com) The 2013 North Dakota Class B American Legion baseball season starts Monday night for two teams in Section 2, as the defending Section 2 Champions LaMoure Post 19 come to Cummings Field in Oakes to play Oakes Post 36.

Post 36 finished last season with a record of 6-8, and had their season end with a heartbreaking 11-10 loss to Wishek Post 87 during the Section 2 Tournament in Wishek. For the second time in as many years, Post 36 also has a new head coach, as Cory Schall has replaced Lucas Patzlaff. Post 36 comes with plenty of depth into the 2013 season, as the Oakes Babe Ruth team finished in second place in the state in 2012.

LaMoure Post 19 is once again coached by J.R. Thielges, and Post 19 is coming off another solid season in which they won the Section 2 title in a thrilling contest against Lisbon, and also hosted the Class B State Tournament.
