N.D. (AP) – Authorities say a Bismarck man has been arrested in the killing of his mother and the wounding of his brother and another woman.

Burleigh County Sheriff Pat Heinert says charges are pending against the man in the killing of 62-year-old Alice Vick on Thursday at their mobile home a few miles southeast of Bismarck near the city of Lincoln.

Heinert says the man’s brother and a woman also suffered injuries in the attack. The sheriff says the woman’s injuries are serious and she was undergoing surgery Friday morning at a Bismarck hospital. 

Heinert says a knife was used during the attack. The sheriff says formal charges are expected against the man following Alice Vick’s autopsy.
