(NewsDakota.com)- The start of the Class A baseball tournament has been delayed to a 1:30pm start today for the first quarterfinal between Minot and Shanley. Its the first of four games scheduled for Day 1 of the tournament at Jamestown’s Jack Brown Stadium.
Jamestown will be matched up with West Fargo in the night cap at approximately 9pm. The Jays are 14-5 coming into the state tournament after a 4-2 win over St. Mary’s in the state qualifier. That win gave Jamestown their first state tournament appearance since 2007.
The Packers of West Fargo are the No. 1-seed out of the EDC and the defending state champions. West Fargo is currently 20-3 and did not lose an EDC game in the regular season or postseason tournament.
