N.D. (AP) – A head-on collision involving two pickup trucks in northwestern North Dakota killed both drivers.

The crash happened late Sunday afternoon on U.S. Highway 52 near Carpio. The Highway Patrol says 40-year-old John Kevin Ozbolt, from Tallahassee, Fla., was trying to pass a semitrailer when he collided head-on with a pickup truck driven by  49-year-old James Bruce Palmer, from Post Falls, Idaho. Ozbolt was not wearing a seat belt.  Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
