Fredric Barnick, 80, of Montpelier, ND, died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

     Fredric Herman Barnick was born on March 2, 1933, on the Archie and Felicia (Albert) Barnick farmstead near Millarton, ND. He attended school in Millarton and graduated from Nortonville High School in 1950. Fredric married Patricia Lamp on December 27, 1951 in Edgeley, ND. They made their home on the farm north of Nortonville where they raised a family.

     Fredric served on the Cardinal Muench Seminary Board in Fargo. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus 1883 for over 50 years. Fredric was a charter member of the North Dakota Buffalo Association.

     Fredric enjoyed hunting and fishing. He shot moose in Canada, caught Halibut in Alaska and many walleye in North and South Dakota.

     He loved to cook for his family and friends, and was a very generous man to his family and community. Fredric was very devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary and prayed the rosary every day. He will be remembered for saying, “You can never out-give the Lord.”

     Fredric is survived by his wife, Patricia Barnick; children, Tom (Toni) Barnick, Jerome (Gretchen) Barnick, Lynette (Arlie) Lind, Mary (Noel) Trusty, David (Lisa) Barnick, Margaret (Mark) Brockman, and Jay (Nancy) Barnick; daughter-in-law, Rose Barnick; 23 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; sister, Lorraine Lanosga of Iowa.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kevin; and one daughter, LoAnne.

     Eucharist of Christian Burial: 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley.

     Visitation: 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday, May 20, 2013 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

     Knights of Columbus Rosary: 6:30 P.M., Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Basilica of St. James, Jamestown.

     Prayer Service: 7:00 P.M., Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Basilica of St. James, Jamestown.

     Interment: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
