(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High School Track and Field teams competed in their final meet of the regular season at the TK Last Chance Meet in Moorhead, Minnesota on Monday. Out of 21 teams, the girls of Oakes finished in a tie for ninth with Central Cass, and out of 19 teams, the boys from Oakes took eleventh place.
The Tornado girls earned 34 points, and were once again lead by their relay teams. The 4×800 team took second, the 4×400 was third, and the 4×200 team was fourth. In field events, Nicole Warren was second in the Javelin.
The Tornado boys acquired a total of 28 points. The 4×800 relay team finished fourth, Blake Hollingsworth was third in the 400 yard dash, and Keaton Peterson took second in the Javelin.

Next up is the regional meet at Valley City on Saturday May 18. The State Class B Track Meet is set for Friday and Saturday May 24 and 25 at the Bismarck Community Bowl.
