CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A fast moving storm packing high wind left behind some damage as it tracked across Barnes and Cass Counties Tuesday morning.

The Barnes County Sheriff’s office says about six vehicles were blown off I-94 between Tower City and Sanborn.

Highway Patrol Sgt. Josh Rude was at the scene of one accident, the wind pushed a semi on its side into the median south of Sanborn.

Cass County Sheriff Paul Laney was traveling to Bismarck when he drove into the storm near Valley City.

The National Weather Service office estimated wind gusts of 60 to 70 miles per hour near Valley City leaving some down trees and scattered power outages in Valley City. No injuries were reported.

The National Weather Service says a wind gust of 59 miles per hour was reported in Jamestown. One about 60 mph in Fargo and another wind gust of 65 mph in southeast Moorhead, Minnesota.
