(NewsDakota.com)- The Jamestown Blue Jay baseball team split their games with Dickinson at Jack Brown Stadium yesterday. The Jays won the first game 10-0 in only six innings then proceed to lose the second, 9-3.
Brian Wenzel worked the mound in game one and didn’t surrender a run. Wenzel struck out seven batters en route to his second win of the season.
The Jays and Midgets were scoreless through three and a half innings, before Jamestown put up a seven spot in the bottom of the fourth. Joey Gebhardt drove in the first two runs following a pair of walks to lead off the inning.
Nick Fuchs dropped one behind a drawn in infield for the third run, then Tyler Ukestad line a base hit to left to score two more.
Jamestown will host Williston on Saturday at 12pm in a double header.
