(NewsDakota.com)- Taylor Stadium played hosted to a couple local teams for a track and field meet yesterday. The Blue Jays finished first in both the boys and girls standings with Carrington in second place.

The Jay girls won eight events en route to a 229 point total. McKayla Orr won the 100 M, 200 M, 100 M hurdles. Siri Jystad finished first in the 400 M.

Jenna Stilwell was the top finisher in both the triple jump and long jump, but it was her javelin throw that qualified her for state.

The boys won going away with a team score of 256. Taylor Orr won the 110 M hurdles with a time of 15.77.

Jamestown also dominated the distance races; Phil Manley won the 1,600 with a 4:54.12 and Kyle Schumacher the 3,200 with 10:57.63.

May 11th is the next home meet. Its the high version of the Al Cassell Relays at Taylor Stadium.
