(NewsDakota.com)- Coach Kelley Kessler finally was able to get his team on the field for the first time of 2013 yesterday and Joey Gebhardt made sure his coach wouldn’t be a loser in his first game.

Gebhardt went six innings en route to a 8-3 Blue Jay win. Jays also took the non-conference nightcap 7-6.

Tyler Ukestad and Shaun Hogan each had two hits to back Gebhardt in the win. Each team committed four error. Demon errors lead to Jamestown taking the lead (3-2) for good in the second inning.

Jamestown will travel to St. Mary’s on Friday and then comes home to battle Minot on Saturday.
