CITY (NewsDakota.com) – The Hi-Liner track and field team was among about 25 teams that competed Friday during the Glen Moore meet in Lisbon. A total of 28 boys team and 25 girls teams were at the meet, which was season’s the first outdoor meet for many squads.

The Lisbon boys team scored 100 points to win the meet. Carrington was second with 67 points and Enderlin-Maple Valley scored 49 team points to take third. Valley City’s boys took 16th place with 18 points at the meet. Valley City’s 4×200 team of Dereck Durheim, Casey Engelhard, John Halgrimson and Colin Naeseth came in third, and Casey Engelhard took fifth in the 400 meter dash.

Carrington’s girls team racked up 119 points to take first. Lisbon was second and Hillsboro third.  The Hi-Liner girls scored 23 points to tie for 11th at the meet. Abby Brown was the top Hi-Liner placer, jumping 32 feet, 2 inches to take second in triple jump. Valley City’s 4×200 relay team of Ruth Ihry, Taylor Miller, Bekah Peterson and Aleysia Burgard came in fourth.
