Thomas Allen Bevins passed away last week after a short illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Valley City with Rev. Dan Forsberg officiating. Visitation will be from 4 PM until 7 PM Monday at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery later in the spring. An online guest register is available at lerudschuldt.com.

     Born in 1961 to Ralph and Jeanette Bevins he graduated from Valley City High School in 1979 and later attended Valley City State College.

     Tom has spent most of his life in the sales profession, which was his passion. He moved to Phoenix early in his career to sell cars and then moved to Mayville, ND to manage the Eagles Club. He landed in Fargo many years ago and started his permanent sales career. He was very passionate about his time at Ferguson Enterprises were he was a Sales Manager for several years. Customers and co-workers were important to Tom. Family was his priority, however, always making time to help out when needed for that family emergency.

     Tom also had a passion for fishing, golf and was looking forward to his time at his lake cabin, from which he took great pride. Those who knew Tom would say he had a great sense of humor and was a great story-teller. He loved to entertain and was a pretty good cook. He was well-liked and respected by his friends and co-workers. His family will miss him enormously.

     Tom is survived by his mother, Jeannette Oberg; stepfather, Marlin Oberg; sister, Diane, Fargo; brother, Terry, Fargo, sisters Jane (Tony) Diemert , Valley City and Lori (Terry) Justesen, Valley City; and several nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Bevins, Jr., nephew, Jared Diemert and niece, Jenna Diemert and by all of his grandparents.
