CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Hilde Van Gijssel presented members of the Barnes County Relay For Life with a “Quilt of Remembrance” on Wednesday donated by Linda Carico of Valley City.

Van Gijssel said Carico donated the quilt during a Cancer Gala event earlier this year. She said the item could either be auctioned off or used as a symbol of remembrance forever during American Cancer Society events.

Van Gijssel donated the quilt to the co-event coordinators of the Barnes County Relay for Life this week.
