CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The city will move forward with a comprehensive erosion study of the Sheyenne River bank in Valley City.
On a 4 to one vote the city approved a contract with the firm URS to do the study for $60,000. Commissioner Madeline Luke advocated the move.
Commissioner Mary Lee Nielsen voted against the contract citing future funding concerns.
Mayor Bob Werkhoven supported the contract.
Valley City resident Mary Simonson supports the study.
And so does Valley City resident Gary Krapu.
