CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Remember when gasoline sold for 98 cents a gallon? Well it could happen again if the state moves forward with a bill that focuses on a plan to use natural gas to fill your tank.

Valley City Representative Dwight Kiefert said a few states already have special service station in place for consumers. Kiefert said his bill supports a study on using natural gas to fuel North Dakota Vehicles.

On Tuesday in Bismarck, the legislature gave the measure a “Do Pass” on a voice vote in the Senate Natural Resources Committee. House Concurrent Resolution 3016 directs the Legislative Management to study the use of natural gas as a fuel in motor vehicles.

Kiefert was pleased that his measure received a “Do Pass” vote on Tuesday in the Senate Natural Resources Committee.
