(NewsDakota.com)- The 8-8 start by the Jimmies isn’t one that Coach Tom Hager is used too. But over the last four days the Jamestown College baseball team has put together a 5-game winning streak.

The streak started after a pair of wins Friday in Dickinson. They knocked off Winnipeg and VCSU to get their record above .500. The 6-1 win over the Vikings was their 22nd straight against VCSU.

The Jimmies beat Winnipeg 11-5. On Saturday, they beat Dickinson 10-5 behind five innings from starter Blake Stewart and a three-hit day from West Fargo freshman Andy Young.

Yesterday, JC swept away Midland Lutheran in a double-header to run the streak to five. Final scores were 11-8 and 7-5.

Today, the Jimmies will stay south and take on Dakota St. in Lennox, SD. They are also trying to move their games with Presentation College slated for this weekend to South Dakota.
