(NewsDakota.com)- Amanda Levin for the second time this season was a key cog in a West Fargo state tournament win over the Blue Jays. She lead her Packer volleyball team to a first round win back in November, now her 20 points night helped sack Jamestown’s basketball season 71-66.

With six minutes to go Jamestown slashed a 10-point second half deficit down to two at 52-50 with a 17-9 run. Addie Eamon’s baseline jumper was the one bounce the Blue Jays finally got as it grabbed the side rim to cut the deficit in half.

But as it had in the first half, West Fargo immediately erased any momentum the Jays were accumulating when Chrstine Baltezore stepped around a screen and buried a cold-blood triple.

The Packers started 11 of 17 from the free throw line, but knocked down six of their last eight to seal the game. McKayla Orr hit some late threes to make sure West Fargo couldn’t run away.

Kyra Dewald had a tough night shooting, but finished with 19 points on 7-of-23 shooting. She had a seven point stretch late in the first half to help the Jays stay close into halftime, 35-32.

Levin came out of halftime scoring six points during a 7-1 Packer run to open the second session.

Dewald also scored her 1,000th career point with a 15-foot bank shot in the first half.

Jamestown will play Wahpeton tomorrow at 6pm back at the Exhibition Hall. You can listen to that game on AM 1400 KQDJ and NewsDakota.com
