B. Fercho, 77, Jamestown, ND died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Eventide at Hi-Acres, in Jamestown.

Faye Barbra Gehlert was born July 28, 1935 in Jamestown, the daughter of Alfred and Rose (Hertel) Gehlert. She graduated from Jamestown High School and attended business college in Minneapolis, MN. She married Valentine “Tiny” Fercho and raised her three children in Edgeley, ND. She worked at James Valley Rural Electric Company from 1967 to 1973. She moved with her family to Tower City where they owned and operated Tiny’s Tavern for four years. She later divorced and moved to Valley City where she worked at MeritCare Clinic. Later Faye moved to Jamestown to work at MeritCare Clinic in the insurance department, retiring in 2001. Due to health reasons, she became a resident of Rock of Ages and later moved to Eventide.

Faye loved her three children and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She liked to read, do puzzles, gardening and feeding the birds. She also bowled for many years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Faye is survived by her three children, Doug (Theresa) Fercho, Bismarck, ND, Val (Jeff) Gainsforth, Jamestown and Teri (Larry) Lisburg, West Fargo, ND: seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Virginia Schielke and Eileen Retzer and one grandson in infancy, Tyler Max Gainsforth.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Service:
11:00 AM, Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Lucinda Lien officiating.

Cemetery:
Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
