(NewsDakota.com) Another Record was set as Jim Nickeson’s 942 pound steer sold for 3 dollars a pound, total ,889, his premium was ,685.25, unbelievable, 3 buyers made it possible thanks to Linn Vig Farms of Veblen, S.D., Steve Simon Crop Insurance of Groton, S.D. and American Akaushi Association of Harwood, TX.

Ellie Schmit sold her 1002 pound steer for $2.65 a pound ($2,655.30) her premium was $1,402.80, Bob Weick of Oakes was the buyer.

Levi Elliot sold his 1340 pound steer for $2.25 a pound ($3,015) his premium was $1,340, the buyer was Iry Insurance of Hope, N.D.

Lynsey Schmitz sold her 1092 pound steer for $1.79 a pound ($2,443.35) for a premium of $1,078.35, the buyer was the VFW Club Valley City.

And Haley Anderson rounds out the top five after selling a 1328 pound steer for $1.71 a pound ($2,270.88) for a premium of $942.88, the buyer was Plain Grains Agronomy of Enderlin.

Lacey Schmitz, Gabrial Quandt, Sidney Anderson, Drew Anderson, Danny Galbreath, Robert Schmit and Christopher Schmit all sold steers who’s premiums ranged from $460 to $750 during the auction.

Here are the top five Market Hog premiums from the NDWS Classic Steer & Market Hog auction held at the Valley City Eagles Club.

Paige Zimprich’s 275 pound hog sold for $2.10 a pound (577.30) for a premium of $420.75, buyer Oliver Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City.

Jace Zimprich’s 283 pound hog sold for $1.70 a pound ($481.10) for a premium of $319.79, the buyer was Central Plains Agronomy of Hannaford.

Dawson Steichen’s 264 pound hog sold for $1.70 a pound ($448.80) for a premium of$298.32, the buyer was Dick Nelson Sales & Leasing.

Lacey Schmitz 283 pound hog sold for $1.55 a pound ($438.65) for a premium of $277.34, the buyer was Dick Nelson Sales & Leasing.

And Lynsey Schmitz 266 pound hog sold for $1.35 a pound ($359.10) for a premium of $2.07.48, the buyer was Livestock Sales of Aberdeen.
