
Semifinal #1: Kindred 65, Central Cass 51
Top-seeded Kindred stormed out to a 21-5 lead behind a scorching start from Karson Ouse, who finished with a game-high 20 points, including three early 3-pointers.
Central Cass responded with a furious rally, cutting the deficit to just four at one point. But the Squirrels ran out of steam in the fourth quarter, as Kindred closed the game with a 16-10 edge in the final frame.
Kindred advances to the championship game, while Central Cass will play in the third-place game at 6 p.m. tomorrow.
Semifinal #2: Wahpeton 76, Northern Cass 69 (3OT)
It took three overtimes, but Wahpeton finally outlasted upset-minded Northern Cass, sealing the win with late free throws from Bjorn Kubela and Brayden Steffens. Steffens led all scorers with 30 points.
Northern Cass was paced by Trey Husar, Myles Froehlich, and Hudson Reitschel, who combined for 48 points. The Jaguars had a chance to win in double overtime after an intentional foul gave them two free throws and possession with 13 seconds left. However, two missed free throws and a clutch block by Alex Comings ended their hopes.
Wahpeton took control in the third overtime, outscoring Northern Cass 9-2 to punch its ticket to the championship game.
