VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – St. Catherine School is excited to announce the launch of St. Catherine Little Saints Childcare, a new faith-based childcare center designed to meet the growing need for high-quality early childhood education in Valley City and the surrounding communities. The school is currently seeking a Daycare Director to lead this initiative and ensure excellence in care, curriculum, and faith formation.
The decision to open St. Catherine Little Saints Childcare comes in response to a community needs assessment, which highlighted the demand for a faith-based childcare option and a structured curriculum aligned with developmental milestones. Parents expressed the need for a program that nurtures children physically and emotionally and provides a strong academic foundation within a faith-centered environment.
This new childcare center will expand St. Catherine School’s long-standing commitment to providing a one-stop shop for families, offering education and care from birth through grade six. This expansion builds on a 100+ year legacy of excellence and service to our parish and community and further strengthens our collaboration with Circle of Friends Preschool and Pre-K, which is recognized for its outstanding early childhood education.
Hiring a Daycare Director – Apply Now
To support this new endeavor, St. Catherine Little Saints Childcare is seeking a full-time Daycare Director to oversee operations, implement an age-appropriate curriculum, and foster a nurturing, faith-filled environment.
Position Highlights:
Lead the center in providing high-quality childcare and faith-based education.
Ensure that programs align with state regulations and focus on child development milestones.
Build strong relationships with families, staff, and the community.
Competitive wage of $22–$25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Health insurance, PTO, full tuition discounts for eligible school-age dependents, and a 6% retirement contribution after one year (1,000 hours worked). The position is scheduled to begin April 1, 2025.
