JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High School chapter of DECA celebrated two state champion performances at the North akota DECA State conference in Bismarck March 2nd , 3rd , and 4th Nevaeh Romfo secured first place and a state championship in the Restaurant and Food Service Management role-play event and Carson Muggli secured first place and a state championship in the Human Resources Management role-play event. By virtue of their placement and positions, Romfo and Muggli will attend the DECA International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Florida in April. At ICDC, they will compete in their events against thousands of the best DECA members internationally.

Over the course of the school year, the members of JHS DECA have participated in many events
including the DECA Virtual Business Challenge, Stock Market Game, Fall Leadership Conference, and
VCSU Emerging Leaders Conference.

“Going to ICDC is a huge accomplishment and really a crowning achievement for these two seniors,”
Advisor Shane Ede said, “both have exemplified what it means to be Blue Jays. Our community is lucky
to have such fine individuals representing them on the state and national stages.”

The members will be very busy over the next few weeks as they work to fundraise the unpaid portion of
the cost of their trip to Orlando. Anyone who wishes to make a donation may contact their advisor,
