Central Cass 60, Lisbon 57

Easton Holland powered his way to nearly 30 points, combining his tenacity with the outside shooting of Kash Lorenz and Keagan Peterson to lead Central Cass past Lisbon.

The Broncos got a strong performance from Cameron Cordero, who finished with more than 20 points, while Owen Gilbert also reached double figures. Lisbon staged a late rally, cutting the deficit to one in the final minute but missed a layup that would have given them the lead.

Holland iced the game with a pair of free throws, and a final defensive stand by the Squirrels secured the win. Central Cass advances to face Kindred in the semifinals.

Wahpeton 66, Oak Grove 48

Second-seeded Wahpeton needed more time than expected to pull away from Oak Grove, as the teams were tied at 25 at halftime. But the Huskies took control in the second half behind Landon Ralph and Brayden Steffens.

Ralph scored 13 of his points after the break, while Steffens led all scorers with 19. Wahpeton sealed the win with a dominant fourth quarter, outscoring the Grovers 23-12 to end Oak Grove’s upset bid.

The Huskies advance to face the winner of Northern Cass vs. Valley City in the semifinals.

Northern Cass 40, Valley City 40

Missed layups plagued Valley City in its season-ending loss to Northern Cass, as the Hi-Liners struggled to convert opportunities near the basket.

The Jaguars were led by Trey Husar, who posted a game-high 21 points, while Myles Froelich and Hudson Rietschel also reached double figures.

Miken Mattson was the lone Valley City player to score in double digits, finishing with 12 points. The Hi-Liners close out their season with losses in eight of their last nine games.
