LIDGERWOOD, N.D. (KFGO) – The Richland County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of a man who drown in Grass lake northwest of Lidgerwood on Sunday. He was Randy Myhre, 70, of Mapleton.

Myhre’s body was found in open water. His pickup had broken through the ice.

Divers from Valley Water Rescue from Fargo recovered the body with assistance from the Richland County Dive Team. Myhre’s dog was found in the cab of the pickup.

Deputies responded after receiving a call that Myhre did not meet friends to fish as they’d planned.
