VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – There are two bluegrass music experiences at the Vault Coffee Shop and Arts Center (223 Central Avenue North) in Valley City this Saturday, March 8.
The beginning bluegrass jam/class is designed for learners new to acoustic bluegrass music and runs from 11:00 am to noon. Participants work on bluegrass back-up playing skills allowing them to instantly participate in a friendly, slow-paced jam session. Stringed instruments are on hand to try out: fiddle, six-string guitar,  mandolin,   5-string banjo, and upright bass. Ukulele is also encouraged for the beginning jam.
The regular bluegrass jam session is for acoustic musicians with their basic playing skills in place and runs from 1:00 – 5:00 pm.
There is no cost to participate in the sessions. The jams are sponsored by the Bluegrass Association of North Dakota (B.A.N.D.) and the Vault Coffee Shop and Arts Center.  For more information call John Andrus at 701-721-8296.
