MAYVILLE – In two regular season wins, Mayville State placed a lot of frustration on University of Jamestown Women’s Basketball.  In an NSAA semifinal, the Jimmies turned that around, did the frustrating, and will play for a championship.

Those points started an 18-1 run that had Jamestown up 32-20 halfway through the second quarter.  A Kate Busek three-pointer gave UJ a 43-28 lead with 1:19 to go and the Jimmies led 43-32 at halftime.

Jes Martens dropped in two free throws with 7:44 left in the third quarter and Mayville State was within 43-37.  After that, Jamestown had an 18-8 run with two threes by Cordes, five points by Jayden Wiest and a three-pointer by Jessika Lofstrom, and the Jimmies were up 64-49 after three quarters.

Mayville State was within nine in the fourth quarter on an Annika Reierson three-pointer with 7:47 left, but another Jamestown run (15-4) decided the game.

Cordes hit four three-pointers and had five rebounds, three assists and three steals.  Jailyn Martinson scored a career-high 14 points with six rebounds.  Lofstrom hit three threes and scored 13.
