GRAFTON (NewsDakota)- The Grafton Spoilers have one thing that Carrington lacks, and that is size, and on Friday night, they took advantage of it.
Brody Lillemoen had 30, Kyler Droog added 29 and the Spoilers defeated a game Cardinals team 75-57 on Friday night at the Grafton Performing Arts Center.
Hot shooting by both team in the early going meant the Spoilers (11-7, 3-6) led after one quarter 20-14, but Cardinal senior Josh Bickett scored 11 of his team-high 27 in the second and Carrington (12-7, 0-4) trailed by ten at the half.
But in the second half, Lillemoen and Droog combined for 33 points and kept the Cardinals at arms length, despite Carrington going 28-for-33 at the free throw line.
Carrington will conclude the regular season on Monday night at Devils Lake with coverage on KDAK The Cardinal beginning at 7:15 PM.
