JAMESTOWN – In the second day of the UJ Invitational, Jamestown Jimmie Men’s Volleyball split matches, defeating Viterbo and falling to Missouri Valley at Harold Newman Arena.
Jamestown def. Viterbo, 17-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-12
Jamestown (3-7) hit .328 overall and .591 in a dominant fourth set.
Michal Niemiec and Tomasz Swiderski each had 13 kills. Niemiec had three aces and Swiderski added 13 digs. Markam Cook had four solo blocks and Benjamin Allred made three. Kaden Jenkins had 24 set assists.

Andrey Bastos and Luca Haase each had nine kills for the Vikings (3-0). Haase also served two aces. Matheus Curi had 18 set assists.
Niemiec led Jamestown (3-8) with 13 kills, with seven digs and an ace. Gaven Hackley had 12 kills. Swiderski made 10 kills and four blocks.
Missouri Valley out-hit Jamestown .258 to .159.
On Saturday, the Jimmies will conclude play in their home invitational with their final two home matches of the season, facing Simpson University at 9:00 AM and Benedictine Mesa at 7:00 PM at Harold Newman Arena.
